OBJECTIVES

Illegal cigarette production had been dominated by Polish organised crime networks but the phenomenon has been spreading all over Europe. Organised crime groups apply more and more sophisticated techniques to counter detections, use more developed and modern machinery and recruit workers often from outside EU.

The aim of this webinar is to demonstrate crime patterns and the related investigative and intelligence measures by the use of case examples from German and Polish law enforcement agencies.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Describe the capacities of EU Member States` law enforcement authorities on fighting tobacco crime;
  • Identify good operative and investigative practices on fighting tobacco crime.
