OBJECTIVES

The aim of this webinar is to provide an overview of the illicit and counterfeit pesticide trade, exploring the perspectives of EU member states as well as third countries, law enforcement agencies and rights holders.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Identify the key components of pesticide intellectual property rights as outlined by the European Commission and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO);
  • Understand the aim and objectives of Operation Silver Axe in combating illicit and counterfeit pesticide;
  • Analyse the perspectives of law enforcement agencies and market surveillance authorities regarding pesticide intellectual property rights;
  • Evaluate the viewpoints of rights holders concerning the challenges and implications of pesticide intellectual property rights enforcement.
