OBJECTIVES

The aim of this hands – on webinar is to provide an overview of the ongoing enforcement actions implemented at EU level to protect Intellectual Property Rights during the upcoming Olympic Games and UEFA European Football Championship. The main private stakeholders involved will provide operational intelligence to fight IP Crime linked with these major sport events.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • identify the main risks in terms of IP Crime linked with major sport events, in particular the Olympic Games and the UEFA European Football Championship taking place in summer 2024;
  • understand the aim and objectives of joint enforcement actions such as Operation Fake Star, Operation Kratos and JAD Pirate, and how to contribute to them;
  • recognise the main authentic products linked to these sport events;
  • detect the main criminal trends in counterfeit goods and piracy targeting major sports events.
