OBJECTIVES

The aim of this webinar is to raise awareness among law enforcement practitioners about the illicit use and trafficking of pyrotechnic articles in the EU, highlight current threats, trends, and risks, and present good practices, enforcement priorities, and coordinated actions under the EMPACT FI X OAP 2026 - 2027.


By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Identify the main forms of illicit use and trafficking of pyrotechnic articles within the EU
  • Recall current threats, trends, and risks associated with the criminal misuse of pyrotechnic articles
  • Explain the Dutch (NL) approach as an example of good practice in addressing illicit use, trafficking, and related risks of pyrotechnic articles
  • Describe the enforcement priorities and coordinated actions under the EMPACT FI X OAP 2026 - 2027
