OBJECTIVES
The aim of this practical webinar is to provide an overview of the ongoing enforcement actions implemented at EU level to protect intellectual property (IP) rights during the upcoming World Cup. Key private stakeholders involved will share operational intelligence to support the fight against IP crime linked to this major sporting event.
- Describe the main risks in terms of IP crime linked with major sport events, in particular the World Cup taking place in summer 2026.
- Recognise authentic and counterfeit products linked to these sport events.
- Define main criminal trends in counterfeit goods and piracy targeting major sports events.
- Identify different tools and support available for the identification of counterfeit products.
