Aim
The aim of this webinar is to highlight one of EMPACT’s operational actions from the priority Cannabis, Cocaine, with the title ‘Chemical concealment of cocaine’. As traditional field tests and detection methods not always work to discover cocaine that is chemically concealed, it creates challenges for police, customs, forensics and the judiciary to address the threat. In the webinar the phenomenon of chemical concealment of cocaine as a trafficking method is address from these different professional perspectives.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the webinar you are able to:
- Explain the phenomenon of chemical concealment of cocaine in the European context of EMPACT;
- List the characteristics of chemically concealed cocaine;
- Describe the challenges arising from chemical concealment of cocaine from the law enforcement, the prosecution and the forensic perspectives.
