OBJECTIVES
The aim of this webinar is to improve law enforcement interventions against violence and discrimination against Jewish persons by improving their awareness of this phenomenon. Professor Dina Porat, a well-known leading historian, who has been awarded numerous prizes for her publications and achievements will give a presentation on the rise of antisemitism during the coronavirus pandemic. Prof. Porat is a professor emeritus of modern Jewish history at the Department of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University and the chief historian of Yad Vashem. At the end of the webinar the participant will be able to:
- Describe the prevalence and forms of hate crime against Jewish persons
- Describe the pandemic factors influencing the rise of hate crime;
- Apply this knowledge for addressing these issues in practice.
