OBJECTIVES

The aim is to promote the fight against IP Crime in the area of Counterfeiting and Pharmaceutical Products. Upon completion of the activity the participants will be able to:

  • better understand and appreciate the phenomenon of counterfeiting in particular, especially pharmaceutical products;
  • understand the importance of this fight for the pharmaceutical industry and consumers;
  • understand the importance of new technological tools;
  • know the examples of cooperation in the fight against counterfeit medicines;
  • perceive the results of the international academic research;
  • explain the details of the criminal investigation;
  • describe the MEDICRIME Convention.

Law enforcement officers (police, border police, customs), judiciary (prosecutors) leading the investigation/detection of counterfeit or pirated goods.
