OBJECTIVES

The aim of the webinar is to provide the audience with an overview of the existing cooperation, recent trends targeting PDO/PGI products and to raise awareness among Geographical indications (GIs) on the opportunities and tools available for enforcement. By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

• Describe how the proper use of the available means of communication could enhance the interaction among LEAs and the brand-owners.
• Explain the EU legislation framework on Geographical Indications and its objectives.
• Break down examples of violations of GIs.
