OBJECTIVES

The aim of this webinar is to explain the role of the Netherlands and Dutch criminals within the transnational drug market, specifically in Europe.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • List the objective, scope, target audience and background of the Dutch national strategic report on drug-related serious ad organised crime.
  • Explain the concept of crime scripts and describe the phases of crime script drugs
  • Describe risk factors for and the role of young persons involved in the different areas of drug-related organised crime
  • List the trends and developments in drug-related organised crime from a Dutch perspective, concerning trade, violence, cooperation/facilitation, communication, prices, payment methods and money laundering
  • Describe the role of Dutch criminal networks and facilitators in the European drug market
  • Describe the added-value of social network analysis and location analysis using encrypted communication channels such as ANOM for the investigation of drug-related organised crime
